Axcis Education is looking for flexible, part-time teaching assistants to work in a fast-growing special school in the Newbury area covering absences. The school caters to 4-18 year olds with a range of additional needs, including challenging behaviour, autism, ADHD, complex needs, SEMH and personal care needs. Candidates will be called upon most weeks for shifts. Ideally, applicants should have some relevant experience, whether in a SEND school, care setting or in their personal lives. We also strongly encourage you to only apply if you feel capable responding to challenging behaviour and outbursts of physical or verbal aggression. You must also be comfortable assisting with personal care. The rate of pay for this role is £93.48 per day and the working hours are 8:30am – 3:30pm. The school is most easily accessed by car and boasts a sizeable car park but can also be reached by bus and train.
