Job Title: Teaching Assistant Behaviour Support
Axcis Education is partnering with a primary school in Bath to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant. This full-time role offers a daily rate of £89 and is set to start as soon as possible, with the potential to become a permanent position after an initial settling-in period. Role Overview: As a Behaviour School Support Teaching Assistant, you will provide one-to-one support to a primary-aged child with challenging behaviour in Key Stage 1. Your role will focus on helping the student manage their emotions and behaviour, ensuring they have the support needed to access the curriculum and thrive in a school environment. Key Responsibilities: • Offer personalised support to a student with challenging behaviour, helping them to stay engaged and focused in the classroom. • Collaborate with the classroom teacher and other staff to implement tailored behaviour strategies and interventions. • Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment, encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation. • Support the student in developing key social skills and coping mechanisms. • Regularly review and adapt your approach to meet the evolving needs of the child. Person Specification: We are looking for someone who: • Has a natural ability to connect with children, particularly those who may display challenging behaviour. • Is patient, empathetic, and committed to supporting vulnerable children in their educational journey. • Can remain calm and professional, even in challenging situations, and use a flexible approach to behaviour management. • Is proactive, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team. • Has a genuine motivation to make a positive impact on the life of a child. While prior experience in a similar role is beneficial, it is not essential.
