Axcis Education is delighted to be working with a secondary school in the Salford LEA, that is looking for a SEMH teaching assistant to support a number of students on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a range of needs such as: challenging behaviour; attachment needs; ADHD & SEMH. An understanding of behaviour management, de-escualtion techniques; as well as an ability to build a rapport with disengaged students are all essential aspects. The role would be working within the inclusion team with a responsibility and timetable designed to support a number of students across KS3/4 with additional needs in mainstream classes and their specialist resource provision. This secondary school is based in Salford and is continually improving year on year. Senior Leaders are on a quest to improve the quality of teaching and learning throughout the school and the staff, pupils and parents are fully in partnership with this long term aim. Behaviour of the pupils in the school was a particular strength highlighted by Ofsted. This is a full-time role that will commence in March 2021 The role is long term and will run until July 2021.
