Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay: £85+ experience dependent
A welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Camden is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. This is a full-time position, starting in January, supporting students in Key Stage 2.
About the Role
The successful candidate will:
- Provide 1:1 support for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Down’s Syndrome.
- Offer general classroom assistance, ensuring all students can access the curriculum.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and encourage student progress while addressing individual needs.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience supporting children with ASD and Down’s Syndrome in a school setting.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of the strategies and tools required to support students with additional needs.
- Patient, empathetic, and committed to fostering an inclusive educational experience.
