Job Title: Teaching Assistant (SEMH & Challenging Behaviour)
Job Advertisement: Teaching Assistant (SEMH & Challenging Behaviour Support) Location: Knowsley | Full-Time, Long-Term (Mon-Fri) We’re looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours at a high school in Knowsley. In this role, you’ll provide tailored support, helping students engage with their education and develop positive behaviours. Responsibilities: • Provide personalised support to students with SEMH and challenging behaviour. • Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs). • Help create a safe, supportive classroom environment. • Implement behaviour management strategies to support learning. • Aid students in developing social skills and emotional regulation. • Communicate with students, staff, and parents/carers about progress. Requirements: • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH and challenging behaviour. • Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. • Understanding of behaviour management techniques. • Commitment to promoting inclusion in the classroom.
