We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants with a strong background in SEMH and experience working with challenging behaviour. Candidates must be able to demonstrate resilience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting students in overcoming barriers to learning. Key Responsibilities: • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs, focusing on academic, social, and emotional development. • Implement behaviour management strategies and interventions in line with individual student's needs and educational plans. • Collaborate effectively with teaching staff, parents/carers, and external agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to support. • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes engagement, resilience, and self-esteem. • Utilise initiative and creativity to adapt support strategies to meet the evolving needs of students. Requirements: • Previous experience working with children and young people with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour, preferably in schools, residential homes for children, or youth work settings. • Ability to work full-time and flexibility to adapt to the demands of the role. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues. • A can-do attitude, with a commitment to making a difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals. • Relevant qualifications or training in education, social care, or youth work are desirable but not essential.
