Job Title: Teaching Assistant - SEMH
Axcis Education is currently working with a Secondary School in Wigan, who are looking for an SEMH specialist to join their team on a full time, long term basis. The right candidate must have SEMH experience with secondary aged pupils and anyone with Team Teach or positive restraint training is encouraged to apply. The role is supporting a KS4 pupil who is joining the school and has SEMH therefore they require 1:1 intervention support. The role is a full time post and would continue for the remainder of the academic year and into the next. Requirements for the role; * Experience of having supported on a 121 basis * Experience of working with ASD, ADHD and/or SEMH * Available for work immediately and ongoing * A recognised TA qualification would be an advantage but not essential The school is a large secondary school with superb SEND department who operate an inclusive learning policy for their students. This allows them to engage with lessons and also have access to the SEND department when required for intervention group lessons. You will report into the SENCO and be part of a team of 15 TA’s who work throughout the school.
