Teaching Assistant, Special School, Forest Of Dean, Full time.
Axcis are pleased to be working with a special needs school in the Forest Of Dean who are looking to recruit someone experienced in working with young children with Autism, Learning Difficulties and ADHD. You will be working in small groups providing general in class support and some 1:1 support also. You will need to be able to establish a good working relationship with the pupils very quickly.
You will be supporting pupils who are in key stages 1 and 2 and the role is full time (8.30am to 3.30pm), starting in September and will run till end of the Winter term initially with the potential for it to be for the full academic year for the right candidate. This role pays a daily rate of £80 per day.
The right candidate will be an inventive and positive TA who has a proactive attitude and will be calm and resilient in difficult situations. You will be a positive role model and will have a chance to make a real difference to a child's life.
The special school is extremely welcoming, has a fantastic support structure and offers excellent resources for all staff that work there. It is set in lovely grounds and the school would be interested in taking the successful candidate on to a permanent contract.
