Are you currently a SEN teaching assistant? Have you worked with pupils with SEMH or with pupils who may be on the autism spectrum? If so, this could be the role for you!
Axcis education are leaders in SEN education, we have a very exciting opportunity for a teaching assistant to join one of our lovely specialist schools, based in Blackburn with Darwen. The school we are working with is an all boy’s school, catering for pupils aged 10-19, all children at this school have additional SEMH (social and emotional mental health) needs. Some students can exhibit challenging behaviour so applicants must be aware of this, and ideally they would be confident with de escalation.
The ideal candidate for this role would have class room experience; this is a requirement to apply! Ideally the successful candidate would also have previous SEN experience in some capacity, whether that be working with students with SEMH, or other SEN difficulties. The successful candidate would be starting this role straight after the Easter holidays! The candidate will benefit from a long term placement at a really wonderful school, with competitive pay rates! This role will be full time, Monday to Friday 8:30 till 15:30pm.
