Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Are you passionate about supporting students with SEND? Axcis Education are looking to recruit an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant for a mainstream primary school in Swindon working 1:1 with a student with Autism (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). The ideal candidate for this role would be enthusiastic, compassionate and able to deal with challenging behaviour. Working hours for this role are between 8.15 to 3.15 and the daily rate of pay is £87.04. Key Responsibilities: -Effectively handling meltdowns, shutdowns, and physical behaviours, providing effective de-escalation strategies. -Monitoring the student’s academic progress and support towards their Educational Healthcare Plan (EHCP) -Ensuring a positive and safe learning environment for the student and working with wider school staff to help achieve this -Differentiating the curriculum to suit the needs and learning style of the student Requirements for this role include experience working with individuals with ASD, strong communication and written English skills, a passion for supporting students with SEND and right to work in the UK.
