Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Chard Position: Full-Time Teaching Assistant Hours: 8:30 AM – 16:30 PM, Monday to Friday Salary: Starting at £93.48 per day Start date: September 2024. About the Role: Axcis Education is seeking confident Teaching Assistant for a full-time position at a SEND school in Chard. The school is split between two sites and has been designed to create a positive environment for learner. Each student has an EHCP. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be helping pupils overcome barriers to education to enable them to thrive. Key Responsibilities: • Provide one-to-one and group support. • Assist in the development and implementation of EHC plans. • Support the emotional and personal development of students. • Provide positive behaviour support • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for students. • Participate in school activities and attend relevant training sessions to further professional development. Requirements: • Essential: Experience with young people • Desirable: A-level equivalent qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. Psychology, Education, Child Development). • Ability to work in a team • Resilient and capable of managing challenging behaviour. • Compassionate, patient and committed to the welfare of children.
