We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our diverse educational team in the heart of Manchester, Greater Manchester. Key Responsibilities: - Provide tailored support to children with ASD, SEMH, and SEND, enabling them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. - Work closely with the classroom teacher to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies. - Assist with the creation and preparation of learning materials that are engaging and suitable for students with various learning needs. - Facilitate small group sessions and one-to-one interventions to support students’ academic and social development. - Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/guardians as required. - Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment by adhering to the school’s policies and procedures. - Collaborate with other professionals within the school and external agencies to ensure a cohesive approach to student support. - Participate in relevant training and development opportunities to enhance your own knowledge and skills. Qualifications: - A minimum of GCSE or equivalent qualification in English and Mathematics. - NVQ Level 2/3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent is desirable but not essential. - Previous experience working with children, particularly those with ASD, SEMH, or SEND, is highly valued. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents. - Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the changing needs of students. - Commitment to personal development and a willingness to undertake further training. - A patient, caring, and creative approach to working with young people. - An enhanced DBS check is required for this position.
