Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Axcis are looking to appoint a teaching assistant to work alongside students who have autism, within an SEND school in the Bolton area. The school are looking to appoint a teaching assistant, who has autism experience, to support KS3 / 4 students who are on the autistic spectrum, both with their school work and general support throughout the day. The school is based in Bolton, has a large on site car park and is Ofsted graded "good". The school specifically caters for students with special educational needs, predominantly autism. The role will be full time, school hours are 8.30am - 4pm Monday - Friday and the role is due to continue for at least the next 12 months. There is an opportunity for this role to become permanent although initially, you will work through Axcis. The role will require you to support children who have autism and be a positive role model for the students in school. The candidate applying for this role must be: - Experienced in working with children with SEND - Have an understanding about, or experience with, working with children with autism - Strong behaviour management skills - Have a clear DBS and be able to provide 2 references - Be able to work in the Bolton area - Available full time If you meet the above criteria, please get in contact.
