Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Axcis Education is collaborating with a further education college in Radstock to recruit a dedicated Learning Support Assistant. This full-time position is available for an immediate start and offers the potential for permanency following a successful initial period.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will: Provide tailored assistance to students with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) and complex needs, ensuring their academic and personal development.
Collaborate with educators to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Implement and monitor individualised education plans, adapting strategies to meet each student's unique requirements.
Utilise assistive technologies and innovative methods to enhance student engagement and independence.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with teaching staff and families.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Experience supporting individuals with PMLD, autism, or similar special educational needs but this is NOT essential.
A compassionate and patient demeanour, with a commitment to enhancing the educational experiences of students with complex needs.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and external professionals.
Adaptability and problem-solving abilities to address the diverse challenges encountered in a specialist educational setting.
Daily rate: £83.40. (Opportunity for the role to become permanent after the initial period.)
