Job Title: Youth Worker
We are a committed and community-focused organization based in SE19, London, dedicated to supporting young people in secondary schools and college environments. Our goal is to empower youth, helping them overcome challenges and reach their potential through mentoring, guidance, and targeted support programs. Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced Youth Worker to join our team, working with students in secondary schools and college settings in the SE19 area. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in a similar role, with a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of young people. You will be instrumental in providing support, building relationships, and delivering programs that encourage personal and social development. Key Responsibilities: Offer one-on-one and group support to students in secondary schools and colleges in SE19. Design and implement programs that enhance life skills, resilience, and emotional well-being. Serve as a mentor and positive role model, fostering trust and rapport with young people. Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive student support. Address issues such as bullying, mental health, peer pressure, and academic challenges. Facilitate workshops and activities that promote personal growth, self-confidence, and community engagement. Maintain accurate records of interactions and progress, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to safeguarding policies. Identify and respond to the unique needs of students, providing guidance and resources to help them thrive. Requirements: Previous experience in a youth work role, particularly within secondary school or college settings, is essential. Relevant qualifications in youth work, social work, or a related field are highly desirable. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with young people from diverse backgrounds. A compassionate, non-judgmental approach, with a genuine passion for supporting youth. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational skills.
