Job Title: Agency Teaching Assistant

On a daily basis, your role as an agency SEN teaching assistant would typically involve:
• Working on a 1-1 basis and in small groups with students with SEND
• Adapting your approach to meet individual needs and promoting progress for all students
• Supporting students who face barriers to learning and struggle with engagement within the classroom
• Using targeted and personalised strategies to promote social, emotional and academic growth
To be successful in your application, the agency SEND teaching assistant must have:
• Some experience of working with young people with special educational needs – this may be within education or another sector, or within your personal life
• The ability to build trusting and positive relationships with students
• Resilience and the ability to overcome obstacles
• A good understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEND
