Job Title: ASD Teaching assistant
On behalf of our client, a wonderful primary school in Mile End, Axcis Education urgently require a Teaching Assistant for a full- time role. The successful candidate for this role will work on a one-to-one basis with a child with severe autism. The student has limited communication skills, so experience using Makton or other picture- based communication is strongly preferred. You will be expected to support the child as she studies a bespoke curriculum. Previous experience of working with challenging behaviour is essential, and Team Teacch training is a distinct advantage.
