Job Title: Autism School Support
Axcis Education is working with a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Bristol to recruit a full-time Teaching Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to support children with special educational needs, specifically ADHD and autism, in one of the largest primary schools in the city.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant in this school, you will:
• Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with SEND, fostering their academic and personal development.
• Assist with the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Help children develop positive attitudes to learning and achieve their full potential.
• Promote independence and social interaction in line with the school’s ethos of kindness, respect, and ambition.
• Work collaboratively with a dedicated and supportive team of staff in a vibrant, diverse school community.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are seeking someone who:
• Has experience supporting children with ADHD, autism, or other SEND in a primary school setting.
• Is patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic about making a positive difference in children’s lives.
• Can adapt to the needs of individual pupils and encourage their participation and success in learning.
• Holds relevant qualifications (such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) or has equivalent experience.
