Job Title: Autism Support Worker
Location: NP25, Monmouth Position: Teaching Assistant Contract Type: Full-time and Part-time roles available, Monday-Friday, 8:30-3:30 Salary: £83.40 per day (depending on experience and qualifications) Axcis are working with a lovely SEN School located near Monmouth. This school caters for children between the ages of 7-16 who have Autism, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and other associated learning difficulties. The school offers a warm and welcoming environment for learners unable to attend mainstream education due to their additional learning needs. Many students have experienced disrupted education and may have been out of school for extended periods. This school aims to help these learners develop lifelong strategies to overcome or manage their specific challenges, enabling them to achieve meaningful educational experiences and opportunities. Class sizes are intentionally kept small, with a maximum of five students per class, to provide personalised teaching environments tailored to individual needs. Due to the location of the school, being able to drive/ have access to a care is ideal! Requirements: We are looking for someone who is outgoing, proactive, caring and patient, with experience working with children or vulnerable adults. This school is far more interested in finding the right person to understand their children and to fit into their culture. There is not a one size fits all and the best teaching assistants/ school support workers come from a variety of backgrounds. As you will be working with children in Wales you will be required to have an enhanced DBS and register with the EWC (Education Workforce Council).
