Job Title: Behaviour Lead/Pastoral Lead – SEMH Secondary
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Lead/Pastoral Lead to join a vibrant and supportive SEMH secondary school in Orpington, BR6. Location: Orpington, BR6 Hours: Monday: 8:00am – 4:00pm Tuesday: 8:00am – 4:30pm Wednesday: 8:00am – 4:30pm Thursday: 8:00am – 3:30pm Friday: 8:00am – 4:00pm Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience) Key Responsibilities: Lead and implement behaviour management strategies to foster a positive learning environment. Provide pastoral care, supporting students' emotional wellbeing and personal development. Work closely with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to address and manage behavioural concerns. Develop and implement individual behaviour plans (IBPs) and support strategies tailored to each student's needs. Promote a culture of respect, resilience, and inclusivity within the school. Requirements: Proven experience working with young people with SEMH needs, ideally in a secondary setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and support staff and students. A proactive approach to behaviour management and pastoral care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
