Key Information: Position: Behaviour Mentor Location: Secondary school in Barnet (easily accessible by public transport) Start Date: As soon as possible Working Pattern: Full-time, Monday to Friday About the Role: You will work closely with students across Key Stages 3 and 4 who present with behavioural challenges, supporting them to regulate their emotions, engage positively with learning, and build self-confidence. This role will involve: One-to-one mentoring and small group work Supporting pupils with SEMH, ADHD, or Autism Collaborating with SENCOs, class teachers and pastoral staff De-escalating challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner Ideal Candidate: Experience working with young people in a Behaviour Mentor, Teaching Assistant or Youth Work role Understanding of behavioural strategies and a restorative approach Team Teach or similar de-escalation/restraint training (desirable, but training can be provided) A calm, nurturing and consistent approach to supporting students A genuine desire to support secondary-age pupils with additional needs Why Join This School?
