Job Title: Behavioural Mentor
Are you an experienced Behavioural Mentor with a passion for supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Behavioural Mentor to join our team at a Secondary SEN School in Enfield (EN3). This is a fantastic opportunity to work with students who require tailored support to thrive academically and emotionally.
Position Details:
Job Title: Behavioural Mentor
Location: SEN Secondary School, Enfield (EN3)
Hours: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 5 days per week (Long-term, full-time role)
Contract Type: Long-term
Key Responsibilities:
-Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs, helping them manage behaviour and emotions in the classroom and beyond.
-Work closely with teachers and support staff to create and implement positive behaviour strategies.
-Build strong, trusting relationships with students, acting as a role model and offering guidance to help them navigate challenges.
-Support students with strategies to develop social and emotional skills, promoting their independence and personal growth.
-Engage students in restorative practices to improve their behaviour and communication skills.
Ideal Candidate:
-DBS clearance is essential.
-Experience working with SEMH, behavioural issues, or in Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) is highly preferred.
-Previous experience in roles such as prison officers, sports coaches, youth counsellors, or youth workers will also be considered.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students and manage challenging situations calmly and effectively.
-A passion for helping students with SEMH needs achieve their full potential.
-Ability to commit to a long-term, full-time role.
