Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated British Sign Language (BSL) Teaching Assistant to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting our students who use BSL, ensuring they have equal access to the curriculum and can fully participate in all aspects of school life. Key Responsibilities: Support students who use British Sign Language (BSL) in their learning and development. Assist teachers in planning and delivering inclusive lessons. Facilitate communication between BSL-using students and their peers, teachers, and other staff. Provide one-on-one or small group support as needed. Help create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment. Assist in the preparation of learning materials and resources. Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress. Support students with additional needs as required. Requirements: Proficiency in British Sign Language (BSL) – Level 2 or higher. Previous experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
