Job Title: BSL primary teaching assistant
Location: Sutton Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM Pay Rate: £150+ per day Role Overview: A lovely primary school in Sutton is looking for a skilled British Sign Language (BSL) Teaching Assistant to support students with hearing impairments. You will play a vital role in ensuring students can fully engage in their learning and school activities. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and group support to students using British Sign Language. Facilitate effective communication between students, teachers, and peers. Assist with the planning and delivery of lessons to meet individual student needs. Support students' social and emotional development within the classroom and playground. Work closely with teachers and other staff to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Qualifications and Skills: Proficiency in British Sign Language is essential. Previous experience working with children in a school setting is desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt and respond to the individual needs of students. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with hearing impairments.
