Job Title: BSL TEACHING ASSISTANT
Are you a skilled and compassionate Teaching Assistant with proficiency in British Sign Language (BSL)? We are seeking a dedicated BSL Teaching Assistant to join our team, providing essential support to our students with hearing impairments. Key Responsibilities: Provide personalized support to students with hearing impairments using British Sign Language. Assist with classroom activities, ensuring an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and specialists. Facilitate effective communication between students, teachers, and peers. Monitor and report on student progress to teachers and parents. Support students' social and emotional development. Requirements: Proficiency in British Sign Language (BSL) is essential. Experience working with children with hearing impairments or special educational needs. Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment.
