Job Title: Experienced SEND Teaching Assistant
Are you experienced in SEND and ready to take on a rewarding challenge? We're looking for resilient, compassionate, and adaptable Teaching Assistants to work in a specialist Alternative Provision within a primary school in Tottenham.
The Role
Class Size: Around 10 pupils with diverse SEND needs.
Environment: A structured, nurturing space where students are supported with sensory breaks and personalised strategies.
Support Needs: Pupils may become overstimulated, requiring calm, patient intervention to help them re-engage with learning.
You’ll work as part of a dedicated team to provide tailored support, ensure a safe and positive environment, and help pupils achieve their potential.
What We’re Looking For
We need TAs with:
SEND Experience: A background working with children with additional needs, ideally in alternative or specialist settings.
Resilience: A strong, steady character with the ability to remain calm and proactive during challenging situations.
Adaptability: A flexible approach to meeting the unique needs of every child.
Empathy & Patience: An understanding and supportive attitude towards children who require sensory breaks and emotional regulation.
Teamwork: Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work closely with teachers, staff, and families.
