Experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant – Special Needs School (South Harrow) Position: Early Years Experienced Teaching Assistant Location: South Harrow Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Contract: Full-time, Permanent About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team at a Special Needs School in South Harrow. The successful candidate will work with students aged 5-15 with a developmental learning level ranging from Reception to Key Stage One. Key Responsibilities: Support the learning and development of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored educational activities. Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies. Provide personal care when required and promote independence. Build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff. Requirements: Proven experience supporting students with ASD and SEMH needs. Experience working with Early Years or students functioning at a Reception to Key Stage One level. Strong understanding of child development and behaviour management techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a passion for making a difference. Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3 or equivalent) are desirable. Why Join Us?
