Job Title: Food Technology Teacher
Are you passionate about teaching Food Technology and making a real difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join our team at a supportive secondary school in Enfield (EN3), catering to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Position Details:
Job Title: Food Technology Teacher
Location: SEN Secondary School, Enfield (EN3)
Hours: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 3 days per week (Long-term contract)
Start Date: ASAP trials - start from the 6th of January
Contract Type: Long-term (with opportunity for full-time work)
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons to students with SEMH needs.
Support students in developing their practical cooking skills while promoting independence, self-confidence, and emotional well-being.
Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages positive behaviour and emotional development.
Adapt teaching methods to suit the individual learning needs of students, ensuring all are fully engaged and able to succeed.
Foster a collaborative approach with colleagues and support staff to promote students' overall development and well-being.
Ideal Candidate:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and DBS clearance are essential.
Experience working with students with SEMH, behavioural issues, or in Pupil Referral Units (PRUs).
A genuine passion for working with SEN students, with a clear understanding of their needs and challenges.
Flexibility and creativity in adapting teaching methods to ensure inclusivity and engagement.
