Job Title: Forest School Assistant (EYFS)
Are you more at home building dens than sitting at a desk? Do you believe that muddy hands and big smiles are signs of a day well spent? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!
Location: South Gloucestershire
Salary: Competitive, based on experience, starting at £12.83/hour
Hours: Full-time / Part-time considered
Start Date: 24/02/2025
Axcis Education is on the lookout for an enthusiastic Forest School Nursery Assistant to join a fantastic early years setting in South Gloucestershire. This is not your average nursery role – we’re talking about fresh air, forest adventures, and learning through nature!
What You’ll Be Doing:
Leading outdoor learning activities, from bug hunts to building mini beast mansions!
Supporting children’s development through nature-based play and exploration.
Encouraging resilience, independence, and a love for the great outdoors.
Singing songs, reading stories, and maybe even perfecting your marshmallow-toasting skills.
Keeping little adventurers safe while they climb, dig, and discover.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with early years or primary-aged children in an outdoor or educational setting.
A love for nature and a ‘can-do’ attitude – rain or shine, the fun doesn’t stop!
A Forest School qualification (or a willingness to work towards one) would be a huge bonus!
An understanding of SEN and inclusive education would be fantastic but not essential.
Bags of enthusiasm, patience, and the ability to make learning magical.
Why You’ll Love This Role:
Work in a setting that embraces outdoor learning and child-led play.
Be part of a supportive team that values creativity and adventure.
Ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
A job that keeps you active, engaged, and constantly learning.
If you’re ready to swap the office chair for a tree stump and inspire young learners in a truly unique setting, we’d love to hear from you!
