Job Title: Full-Time SEND Learning Support Assistant
Full-Time SEND Learning Support Assistant Location: Wembley Start Date: January 2025 Are you passionate about making a difference in children’s lives? We are seeking a learning support assistant to join a friendly and inclusive school community in Wembley. This full-time position offers an opportunity to work 1:1 with a child with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a mainstream classroom setting, supporting their learning and development. Role Details: • Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday (with a 4:30 finish on Tuesdays for training sessions). • Pay: £83.40 per day (increasing after 12 weeks). • Key Responsibilities: o Providing tailored support to a SEND child within a mainstream class environment. o Building positive relationships to foster the child’s confidence and independence. o Supporting the class teacher with learning activities and ensuring inclusion for all pupils. o Carrying out personal care duties (only if assigned to work in the Reception class). Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need: • Experience: Personal or professional experience supporting children, particularly those with SEND needs. • Skills: o A good command of English for effective communication. o The ability to build positive relationships with children, adapting to their individual needs. • Qualifications: o Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or a degree from a UK university. • Flexibility: A willingness to assist with personal care duties if required.
