Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our SEND school in Sutton. This role involves supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), medical needs, and providing personal care. Flexibility to work with students across various age groups is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support students with ASD, PMLD, and medical needs, adapting to their individual requirements.
• Assist with personal care routines, including feeding, toileting, and hygiene, ensuring dignity and respect at
all times.
• Work collaboratively with teachers to deliver engaging, accessible, and inclusive learning experiences.
• Use specialist equipment and follow care plans to meet students’ medical and physical needs.
• Build positive and supportive relationships with students, fostering their social, emotional, and academic
development.
• Adapt to work with different age groups, providing tailored support as needed.
Requirements:
• Experience working with SEND students, particularly those with ASD, PMLD, or medical needs (preferred
but not essential).
• A caring and patient approach, with a commitment to promoting inclusion and independence.
• Willingness to assist with personal care and medical needs as required.
• Flexibility to work across different age groups and adapt to dynamic needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
