We are working very closely with an innovative pupil referral service dedicated to providing exceptional educational experiences to young people. Their focus is to create a nurturing and stimulating environment where students can thrive. They will invite graduates from various backgrounds, including sports, music, creative arts, psychology, languages, and education, to join their team and contribute to their educational hubs in Monmouth.
Within this educational supportive role, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of their outdoor education programs. This service provider are seeking highly motivated and energetic individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people. Your role will require a high level of adaptability and proactivity, as no two days are the same.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, and execute outdoor educational activities and programs for students.
- Promote personal development and team-building skills through outdoor challenges.
- Tailor activities to the diverse needs and abilities of students, ensuring an inclusive environment.
- Foster a safe and supportive outdoor learning environment, adhering to safety procedures and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with educational hub staff to integrate outdoor learning with the broader curriculum.
- Contribute to the broader educational and behavioural goals of the referral service.
- Continually evaluate and adapt programs based on the dynamic needs of the students and the service.
- Support the development of students' social, emotional, and personal skills.
- Lead by example, demonstrating enthusiasm, resilience, and a positive approach to learning.
Requirements:
- A degree in sports, music, creative arts, psychology, languages, education, or a related field.
- Previous experience in outdoor education, teaching, or coaching is desirable.
- High energy, motivation, and a passion for working with young people.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and situations.
- Commitment to continual professional development.
- A proactive mindset, with a talent for problem-solving and innovation.
- First Aid certification and/or outdoor leadership qualifications are advantageous.
