Job Title: Graduate Teaching Assistant

Are you a Psychology graduate eager to make a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated team as a SEND Teaching Assistant in a welcoming and supportive school environment.
About the Role:
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you’ll be an essential part of the school’s support network, helping students reach their full potential both academically and emotionally. Working alongside teachers and SENCOs, you will provide tailored support to students in small groups and one-to-one sessions. Your understanding of psychology will be invaluable in helping to address their unique learning needs.
Your Responsibilities:
? Assist in delivering engaging and accessible lessons tailored to different learning styles and abilities.
? Provide individual and small-group support to students with SEND, helping with behaviour, emotional regulation, and communication.
? Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement personalised learning strategies.
? Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment to boost student confidence and well-being.
? Track and monitor student progress, offering feedback to teachers to enhance learning outcomes.
What We’re Looking For:
A degree in Psychology or a related field.
A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEND.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to challenges.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
