Are you a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for your next exciting opportunity? Do you have a passion for supporting learning and want to make a real impact in primary education?
Axcis Education is working in partnership with a range of welcoming and inclusive primary schools across Stockport, and we are currently recruiting enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistants to start as soon as possible.
As a HLTA, you will work closely with class teachers and the senior leadership team to deliver high-quality support across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading small group interventions and delivering planned lessons in the teacher’s absence.
- Supporting children with a variety of needs, including SEND.
- Assisting in the planning, preparation, and assessment of learning activities.
- Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
- Contributing to the overall development and wellbeing of pupils in your care.
Requirements:
To be considered for this HLTA role, you will need:
- HLTA status or relevant Level 4 qualification (or equivalent experience).
- Experience supporting teaching and learning in a primary school setting.
- Confidence to lead whole class teaching when required.
- Excellent behaviour management and communication skills.
- The ability to travel to and around the Stockport area.
