Job Title: Learning Mentor – Alternative Provision

If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! We are seeking a Learning Mentor to join a dynamic team within an Alternative Provision setting. This is a unique and rewarding role where you’ll work closely with pupils who face barriers to mainstream education, helping them re-engage with learning and achieve their potential. Key Responsibilities • Build trusting relationships with pupils, offering pastoral and academic support. • Deliver 1:1 and small group sessions, tailored to individual needs. • Support students with SEMH, Autism, ADHD, or other additional needs. • Accompany pupils on community-based activities to promote social, life, and employability skills. • Collaborate with teachers, parents/carers, and external agencies to develop and implement individualized plans. • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive environment that encourages personal growth and resilience. Requirements • Experience working with children or young people in educational, pastoral, or care settings (essential). • A calm, patient, and compassionate approach to managing challenging situations. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with pupils and their families. • A valid UK driving license and access to your own vehicle (essential). • Flexibility to support community outings and off-site activities.
