Job Title: Learning Mentor
Learning Mentor – Supporting Pupils with SEMH & ASD
Location: Brent
Start Date: Immediately after February half-term
We are looking for a compassionate and committed Learning Mentor to join our supportive team at an all-through school (ages 7-16) in Brent.
Our school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment for pupils with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs and autism spectrum disorder (ASD), all of whom have Educational Health Care Plans. We believe in empowering every learner to flourish academically, socially, and emotionally.
Your Role:
- Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring to support pupils’ development
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure positive outcomes
- Help pupils build confidence, resilience, and coping strategies to engage in their learning
About You:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs and/or ASD
- A caring, adaptable, and patient approach to learning and behaviour support
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for making a real difference in the lives of young learners
