This may mean leading interventions to small groups or working 1-1 with a student who needs extra support. There is also a full-time behaviour specialist in the Centre, who you will work closely with to support students who have left their lessons for SEMH reasons. For this role, you will need to be calm, empathetic and be able to develop strong relationships with pupils to support them with their work.
The ideal candidate will:
-have experience working with students with SEN/ SEND needs, ideally Autism.
-enjoy thinking on their feet and able to adapt the learning to meet the needs of the student
-be able to work in a small team as well as independently
-be able to build and maintain a strong rapport with a range of students
This post is ongoing, starting ASAP, and may become permanent for the right person if that is what is best for the student. It is full time, Monday to Friday from 8.30 to 3.30, pay rates starting at £83.40 per day. This role is to start asap and is an on-going role.
