Job Title: Learning Support Teaching Assistant
Location: Stockport & Tameside Start Date: After Easter Half-term Pay Rate: £89.60 - £100 per day (dependent on experience) Job Type: Full-time & Part-time roles available Axcis Education is looking to recruit experienced Learning Support Teaching Assistants (LSA) to work in schools across Stockport and Tameside. We are seeking individuals with a strong background in supporting students with diverse learning needs, including those with Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and other Special Educational Needs (SEN). Role & Responsibilities: - Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN in primary and secondary school settings. - Assist in delivering tailored interventions and adapting learning materials to suit individual student needs. - Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to ensure students receive the best support possible. - Promote inclusion and encourage student engagement in learning activities. - Support students with emotional and behavioural challenges, helping them to regulate and develop positive coping strategies. - Assist with personal care if required. Requirements: - Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Tutor, or Learning Support Assistant, particularly in an SEN setting. - Experience working with students with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other learning difficulties. - Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff. - A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to supporting students.
