Job Title: LSCA- SE15
Learning Support Care Assistant (Moderate to Severe Needs) Location: Peckham, se15 School Type: Secondary School Hours: 08:30 AM – 04:45 PM About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support students with moderate to severe needs in a secondary school setting in Peckham. The students may have autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Physical Disabilities, or Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). Personal care will be required in most cases, and you will play a crucial role in providing both academic and personal care support. Key Responsibilities: • Provide 1:1 and group support to students with moderate to severe SEND. • Assist with personal care tasks for students as needed. • Support students with ASD, physical disabilities, and PMLD. • Work alongside teaching staff to ensure students' learning and care needs are met. • Promote a safe and supportive learning environment for all students. Skills and Experience Required: • Experience in care, SEND, or a similar support role is essential. • Must have a current Child and Adult DBS check. • Ability to support students with a range of SEND, including personal care. • Patient, empathetic, and proactive in meeting students’ needs. • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
