Job Title: Lunch Cover Assistant
Job Advertisement: Lunch Cover Assistant (SEND School) Location: Sutton Hours: 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM (Monday to Friday) Start Date: ASAP We are seeking a caring and reliable Lunch Cover Assistant to join our dedicated team at a SEND school in Sutton. This role involves supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), medical needs, and personal care during lunchtime. Flexibility to work with students across various age groups is essential. Key Responsibilities: • Supervise and support students during lunch breaks, ensuring their safety and well-being. • Assist with personal care routines, including feeding, toileting, and hygiene, while maintaining students’ dignity and comfort. • Provide support for students with medical needs, following care plans and using specialist equipment as required. • Foster positive interactions among students, promoting social inclusion and engagement. • Adapt to the needs of different age groups, providing tailored support to each student. Requirements: • Experience working with SEND students, particularly those with ASD, PMLD, or medical needs (preferred but not essential). • A compassionate and patient approach, with a commitment to supporting students’ individual needs. • Willingness to assist with personal care and medical routines. • Flexibility to work with students across various age groups. • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
