Job Title: Mainstream School Special Needs Teaching Assistant
Axcis Education are working with a Mainstream School within the Newquay area that supports children with a range of different special education needs and disabilities within the same classroom. As a SEND Teaching assistant, you will be supporting pupils who because of their additional needs, have a barrier to learning in a mainstream school or alternative provision, typically associated with SEMH, Autism and Asperger's. The role we have is initially temporary, with a view to go permanent for the right candidate. Working hours are 8:30-3.30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only with pay rates from £83- £90 dependent on experience. What you will need: - Excellent SEN knowledge mandatory - SEN Teaching assistant experience which we are able to reference - A DBS on the update service - Confident & strong classroom management skills - Work collectively alongside teachers assisting them with classroom activities, ensuring a positive and supportive environment.
