Location: Stockport & Tameside Pay Rate: £89.00- £95 per day (depending on experience) Start Date: ASAP Job Type: Full-time / Long-term Job Overview: Axcis Education is seeking an experienced Medically Trained Teaching Assistant to support students with complex medical needs in schools across Stockport and Tameside. This is a fantastic opportunity for a compassionate and skilled individual with experience in medical care and SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) to make a real difference in students' lives. Key Responsibilities: - Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with medical needs, including those with conditions such as epilepsy, diabetes, gastrostomy (PEG) feeding, and tracheostomy care. - Assist students with personal care and medical interventions as required, following healthcare plans. - Support students with additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, sensory impairments, and learning difficulties. - Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and healthcare professionals to ensure students receive the necessary medical and academic support. - Monitor students' health and wellbeing, responding promptly and appropriately to medical emergencies. - Help create an inclusive learning environment where students feel safe, supported, and encouraged to engage in their education.
