Job Title: Mental Health Support in Education
Location: BA2, Bath Salary: £83.40 per day (depending on experience and qualifications) Contract Type: Full-time Are you a nurturing, compassionate and dedicated individual looking to make a meaningful impact in a young person's life? Axis are working with a school in Bath that is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to support a lovely Year 7 girl who needs mental health support. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to a student with trauma-based needs, attachment challenges and cognition difficulties. Encourage a caring and nurturing environment to help build confidence and a sense of belonging. Work closely with school staff to implement strategies that address challenging behaviours when they arise. Offer emotional and academic support, promoting independence and self-esteem. Ideal Candidate: Ideally maternal and nurturing with a caring and empathetic nature. Experience or understanding of trauma-informed approaches and attachment difficulties. Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust and rapport. Confidence in handling challenging behaviours with patience and understanding. A proactive and innovative approach to bring new ideas to the role. A nurturing personality with a genuine desire to support student well-being.
