Job Title: Teaching assistant
Teaching Assistant (TA) –Wirral
We are excited to invite a compassionate and dedicated teaching assistant to join a supportive team at a PRU Secondary School in the Wirral. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on a Year 8 pupil’s educational journey, providing tailored support to those with behavioural needs, SEMH, and literacy challenges.
About the Role:
• Location: Wirral, CH43
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM.
• Pay: £87-£95 per day (PAYE, depending on experience).
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 support for a Year 8 pupil with SEMH and behavioural needs.
• Assist the pupil with literacy tasks and support their academic progress.
• Implement intervention strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
• Foster a supportive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for the pupil.
What We’re Looking For:
• Previous experience working with children or young adults (essential).
• A DBS on the update service (desirable; if you don’t have one, we can help with a new application).
• Someone who is patient, empathetic, and committed to supporting the pupil’s growth.
