We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Outdoor Education Instructor to join our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities - Design and deliver engaging outdoor educational programs that meet the needs of students with ASD. - Create and manage a safe outdoor learning environment. - Assess and record student progress, adapting programs to cater to individual learning needs. - Foster a love of the natural world and encourage environmental awareness among students. - Work collaboratively with other teaching staff to integrate outdoor learning with classroom activities. - Liaise with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and development. Requirements - Proven experience in outdoor education or a related field. - Experience working with individuals with ASD or within a school-based environment preferred. - Relevant qualifications in outdoor education, teaching, or special education needs. - A strong understanding of health and safety practices in an outdoor setting. - Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents. - Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undertake this process). The position is full-time, starting after Easter or as soon as possible. Working hours will be from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The rate of pay will be between £95 - £115 per day, depending on previous experience and school-based experience.
