Job Title: Pastoral Support Assistant
Axcis Education are working with a mainstream secondary school situated in the Barnstaple area who are looking to fill a pastoral teaching assistant support role from September 2024. Working hours for this position will be Monday - Friday, 8.30 - 3.30, term time only. In this pastoral support role the successful applicant will be required to work with pupils on a 1-1 basis who are finding school life difficult, or who require emotional support. Pastoral care is a provision schools make to ensure the physical and emotional welfare of their pupils. A successful pastoral support program will have all pupils feeling safe, happy, involved in school life and able to perform to their full potential. To apply for this full time support role you should be a kind and caring individual but also resilient and unphased by challenging behaviour. You must have previously worked in a role where you supported vulnerable people - either adults or children. You should be committed and reliable.
