Job Title: PE Teacher
PE Teacher (GCSE & BTEC) – PRU (White City & Greenford)
Full-time: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM | Long-term commitment | Start ASAP
Axcis is looking for an experienced and dedicated PE Teacher to deliver GCSE and BTEC PE at a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU). You will be teaching small groups of 3-8 pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs across two sites: 3 days in White City and 2 days in Greenford.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing challenging behaviour and working with SEMH students. A firm but supportive approach is essential to success in this role. Also experience delivering BTEC and GCSE PE is also required.
Key Responsibilities:
-Teach and deliver GCSE and BTEC PE to small groups of students.
-Manage and engage students with challenging behaviour, creating a positive learning environment.
-Provide pastoral support as a key worker/mentor, helping students with their emotional development.
-Promote emotional regulation and foster a safe, structured learning space.
What We’re Looking For:
-Proven experience in teaching GCSE and BTEC PE.
-Strong ability to manage and support students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour.
-Experience as a key worker or mentor is highly desirable.
-Both sites are in excellent locations, and the PRU offers a supportive and grounded working environment.
