We are dedicated to providing exceptional educational support and are committed to ensuring that every child receives the tailored assistance they need to thrive. Role Description: We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant with a strong background in phonics, ideally one of the following schemes: Little Wandle Read Write Inc Fresh Start Phonics although others will be considered. This is a long-term role with the exciting possibility of becoming a permanent position for the right candidate. You will play a crucial role in supporting students within the SEND unit, helping to deliver high-quality phonics instruction and fostering a positive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Delivering the Phonics Programme to students with varying needs. Supporting the classroom teacher in managing pupil behaviour and engagement. Providing one-on-one or small group support to students as required. Assisting in the planning and implementation of individualized learning plans. Monitoring and recording student progress and providing feedback to teachers and parents. Creating and maintaining an inclusive, supportive, and safe learning environment. Requirements: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly within a SEND setting. Strong knowledge and experience with the Fresh Start Phonics Programme. A compassionate and patient approach to working with children with special educational needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently. A commitment to promoting the educational and personal development of students.
