Axcis Education are working with an alternative provision academy, situated in the Torbay area of Devon, who are seeking a Physical Education teacher for the Autumn term. The academy provides a provision for learners aged 11 – 16 years old, whose needs cannot be met in mainstream education. In particular, the academy provides placements for young people who exhibit social, emotional and behavioural concerns. The academy is seeking a qualified PE teacher, who will also be happy to teach Citizenship lessons on occasion. The role is full time and for the Autumn term initially but could be extended past this. The successful applicant should be passionate about teaching and learning - embracing new ideas and have a positive outlook and excellent interpersonal skills. You should also have boundless patience and resilience and the ability and enthusiasm to make a difference with pupils who have a range of SEND needs.
