Job Title: PMLD Teaching assistant
Are you dedicated to supporting students with PMLD? We have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Teaching Assistant to join a unique SEN school in Haringey with a vibrant and nurturing learning environment. About the Role: As a Teaching Assistant, you will support a non-verbal student with PMLD, ensuring their well-being, safety, and engagement in the learning process. Responsibilities: 1:1 Support: Provide personalised assistance to the assigned student, aiding in daily activities, communication, and academic engagement. Collaboration: Work closely with teachers and medical professionals to create and implement care plans. Adaptability: Be responsive to the changing needs of the student, modifying activities and approaches as necessary. Encouragement and Inclusion: Create a positive learning environment where the student feels valued and encouraged. Requirements: Experience: Previous experience with PMLD students and providing personal care is essential. Communication Skills: Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and medical professionals. Medical Needs: Experience with managing medical needs is desirable.
